Kate Hudson is taking loungewear to another level with Fabletics
If you were told that you don’t have to wear that uncomfortable Little Black dress, which let’s face it is always too little, for your next date night, however, you can still look beautiful as ever, what would you say? I would say, hell yes! Bring it on. And the one to offer you this brilliant comfort clothing line is none other than Kate Hudson. Hudson co-founded Fabletics, a clothing line making athletic dresses for casual occasions.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Kate revealed all we need to know about Fabletics and her plans for lazy gal dream to be a reality. When asked how did she come across the idea, Kate replied saying it was more of a natural progression as she wanted to take the concept of active girl a step further. Get her out in the town with a casual flair. On being asked whether she herself would like to be dressed in active wear for a date night, she said that’s the whole point of coming up with the concept of active wear dresses. Wear it whenever you want and however you want to.
You can also do light exercises in these dresses but Kate says these dresses are made to be like gym wear.
Fabletics is an online clothing retail company that sell’s women’s active wear with a twist of loungewear and accessories to it. The parent company is called JustFab, which specializes in providing its niche customer base with personalized outfits according to their lifestyle and preferences. The founders Adam Goldenberg, Don Ressler, and Kate Hudson, have worked blood and sweat to establish this company in 2013 and have been quite successful so far in marketing and promoting the brand in the states.
By 2015, Fabletics is set out to open 75 to 100 new stores all across different locations like The mall in Columbia, Kenwood town center in Cincinnati and the woodland hills.
In the same interview to Marie Claire, Hudson commented on the wearability of the dresses with or without a bra. Most of the dresses are wearable without a bra as they have built in sports bralette and looks chick as they help to tuck everything in when you wear them. Spanx isn’t required at all, which makes your life easier. On positioning her brand in the high-end spectrum, Kate said that it could be done but it requires higher investment and might be a plan during later years.
