Boraie Development Sponsors The State Theatre’s Free Summer Movies


Last summer, the State Theatre was proud to announce the resumption of the Free Summer Movie Series that was sponsored by Boraie Development. In addition, the Provident Bank Foundation played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the Movie Series. The movies that were featured in the series are Frozen and E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. The others were Despicable Me, Babe, Monster University, and Aladdin. These movies were screened at 10:30 am and 7:00 pm.

The community watched the six movies for free. Young people were offered the opportunity to enjoy films that they love with their families and summer camps in the magnificent surroundings of the State Theatre. The theatre is a historic 1921 movie palace. Over the years, it has evolved into one of New Jersey’s finest venues for live performance.

Hiam Boraie commented that they were proud to sponsor the wonderful series, providing local families the opportunity to see exceptional movies for free at the historic venue. Hiam is one of the vice president’s of Boraie Development. Jane Kurek could not hide her joy after enabling many families to have a great time at the State Theatre. Anna Marie Gewirtz noted that they were pleased to bring back the summer movie series by adding more films. Gewirtz is the vice president of development and strategic partnerships at the State Theatre. She posited that as part of the theatre’s goal, they are devoted to presenting affordable and family-friendly movies. Their year-around Community Access Initiative invites the community to enjoy several free events at the State Theatre. Movie goers enjoyed an incredible experience, starting with the modern HD digital cinema projection system of the State Theatre. The system consisted of 46’ Stewart film screen, digital round system, and a Barco projector. The 1,850-seat revamped theatre allows audiences to sit downstairs or view from up in the balcony, in a similar way as the glory days of Hollywood.
