Award-winning Jorge Moll Leads Groundbreaking Research in Neuroscience
There is no doubt that one of the most complex areas of modern medicine is that of the study of Neurology and Neuroscience. At D’Or Institute of Research and Education in Brazil, the dedicated Jorge Moll leads his team of experts in the study of and the intensive research in Neuroscience. He is Jorge Moll, MD, Ph.D., a renowned Neurologist and educator in the fields of Neurology and Neuroscience.
Jorge Moll’s Extensive Background and Achievements
Jorge Moll is the founder of the D’Or Institute of Research and Education in Brazil. He obtained his MD in Neuroscience at the Federal University of Rio de Janiero, Brazil where he also completed his residency. He later obtained his Ph.D. in Experimental Pathophysiology from São Paulo University. Jorge Moll serves as President and as a Board member at the D’Or Institute of Research and Education. He has authored and co-authored many publications and articles written about his extensive research in Neuroscience.
The Institute Teaches Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience
The research is fascinating as it relates neural correlates to aging, depression, Alzheimer’s disease, feelings of worthlessness, feelings of disgust, moral sensitivity, emotions, moral and social beliefs and more (GloboPlay.Globo). Jorge Moll said, “I am interested in the psychological and neural mechanisms governing human choices and social preferences and how they are shaped by morals and values and modified by experience, culture and neurotechnological interventions”.
Research Projects are Always Ongoing at the D’Or Institute
The research uncovered so far has been amazing and far-reaching. Listed here are some of the current ongoing research projects at the D’Or Institute of Research and Education being conducted by Dr. Moll and his dedicated team. One of the projects focuses on neural correlates of human values in the brain. Another project is in the research of neuropsychiatry moral cognition and social conduct. Another is on the topic of neuroplasticity. This list of three projects is by no means complete. It is presented for the purpose of providing the reader with an understanding of the scope of groundbreaking research projects that both Dr. Jorge Moll and his highly qualified staff at the Institute have dedicated their lives to pursue.
